SIP UDP

SIP UDP

Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is a signaling protocol used for initiating, maintaining, and terminating real-time communication sessions. Session Initiation Protocol is widely used for VoIP (Voice over IP) and other types of multimedia communication. User Datagram Protocol (UDP) is a transport layer protocol used to deliver SIP messages. UDP is a connectionless protocol, which means that there is no need to establish a connection before sending data. SIP messages are typically sent over UDP, although other transport protocols can be used. When making a VoIP call, the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is responsible for initiating and terminating the call. SIP can run over either the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) or the User Datagram Protocol (UDP). SIP calls made over UDP are generally less expensive to set up and maintain than SIP calls made over TCP. SIP supports both TCP and UDP

Benefit

Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is a communication protocol that allows two or more users to communicate with each other. It uses the User Datagram Protocol (UDP) to transport messages and is used for VoIP (Voice over IP) calls. SIP is a Session layer protocol in the OSI model. It is used to set up, modify, and terminate multimedia sessions such as VoIP calls. SIP can also be used for other applications such as video conferencing and instant messaging. Also visit our latest blog , SLA call center
